A company may be perfectly findable online and still be poorly understood, or rarely recommended, by AI. The reverse can also happen. That gap is what makes this new layer worth measuring.
Understood before recommended
AI cannot recommend a company well if it does not have a clear picture of what the company does, what it offers, who it is for, and where the fit begins and ends.

It turns that into something companies can inspect and act on. The public Benchmark lets people explore how companies appear; a Rough Diamonds Report applies the measurement privately to a specific company.
We measure AI behaviour, not company quality.
Rough Diamonds is not a ranking of the best companies, and it is not a popularity contest. It does not replace business strategy, and it does not guarantee that AI will recommend a company. It is not an SEO score with AI terminology.
A lower score does not mean a company is bad. It means AI currently has a weaker or less consistent picture in the situations tested.
This layer should be visible too.
Companies can already measure search traffic, rankings, conversion and brand awareness. AI recommendation is becoming another part of how companies enter consideration. Rough Diamonds makes that layer visible too.
